I've received a few individual emails, and now that registration is winding down, I'd like to address the entire team. Yes, I know that our May 9th meet is the same as Maifest. And, no, I'm not able to do anything about it.

Even though we have a bye week on May 2, all the other teams in the division are holding their timed trials this weekend. We always schedule our timed trials the week before (in April) because Maifest ALWAYS falls on the 1st weekend of May. Except this year. Navasota is unable to reschedule their timed trials, so we can not reschedule our dual meet to May 2.

This is unfortunate. Not only will we be missing swimmers, but volunteers too. The parade is scheduled at 10am, which is right in the middle of our meet.
