Brenham Dolphins belongs to the Purple Division of NWAL (Northwest Aquatic League). The other teams in the division are Lee County; Bryan Barracudas; Huntsville Lakers; College Station Tsunamis; and Navasota Mudcats. These are the teams that we compete against in our dual meets during the season.

During Divisionals, all 6 teams compete against each other. One of the 6 division teams will host. In order to participate, a swimmer must have competed in at least 2 Dual Meets.

In 2022, 2023 & 2025, Brenham Dolphins won Purple Division!! In 2024, we were Reserve Champions by a small margin.

Parent Meet Entries: Defer to your team rep / computer person for meet entry deadline. 

Team Meet Entries: All meet entries (from teams) need to be completed and ready to merge on the Swimtopia website by 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 11th (teams will determine when their members’ meet entries are due, generally Wed night / Thurs morning). The Meet Exchange will occur NO LATER THAN 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 11th (by Navasota or Brenham). 

Event Entries: Each swimmer may enter 3 individual events and 3 relay events. The extra relay is the Mixed Free Relay. Each team may only enter 1 relay per each relay event. In order to participate in Divisionals, swimmers must participate in 2 NWAL Certified Dual Meets. Participation is defined as a swimmer entering the water in an NWAL event with or without disqualification otherwise known as a splash. Swimmers may enter up to 3 relays, per our most recent Division vote in Jan2026. No swimmers will be added to the meet after the exchange is made. No Exceptions.

Meet: Start time is 8:30 AM. ALL scratches must be turned in by 8:00 AM to Computers. 

Warm-Up Times: 

• Navasota: Lanes 1-4 7:00 AM - 7:20 AM 
• College Station: Lanes 5-8 7:00 AM - 7:20 AM 
• Bryan: Lanes 1-8 7:20 AM - 7:40 AM 
• Brenham: Lanes 1-8 7:40 AM - 8:00 AM 
• Hunstville: Lanes 1-6 8:00 AM - 8:20 AM 
• Lee County: Lanes 7-8 8:00 AM - 8:20 AM 

Timers/Officials: Meetings will be at 8:00 AM at the Start end of the pool (near the computer table). Officials need to submit the Google Form to Meet Referee. If you haven’t received a link to the Google Form, please email the Div Rep / Asst Div Rep (below). Meet Referee TBD. 

Team Camp/Set Up: The pool will open by 6:30 am for visitor set up. We have plenty of grassy areas for swim families and spectators to set up outside of the pool area; pop-up tents and/or blankets are recommended. All set-up areas are first come, first served. Absolutely NO set up inside the pool area. Spectators are come-and-go. 

Parking: Please see the attached photo map. Red XXX = no parking (vendor parking only). Parking around Brule Park & pool are highlighted in yellow. If parking on city street, please be aware of resident driveways & do not block. Park in the direction of traffic. Ready bench is located outside the pool (highlighted in green). It is surrounded by stone walls. No set up inside that wall. No parents/siblings/supporters in or out of ready bench gate.

Awards: Medals will be given for the top 6 places and ribbons for 7th-12th places. Trophies will be presented to the top 3 overall teams. As a division, we voted last year to “recycle” the trophies from year to year to keep costs down. 2025 Teams – don’t forget to bring your 1st-3rd trophies to Divisionals to be re-awarded! 

Scoring: All events will be scored as per the NWAL 6 Team Scoring. 

• Individual Events: 14-12-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 
• Relay Events: 14-10-7-5-3-1 

Concessions: The Mudcats will be selling breakfast tacos, baked goodies and standard concession items. *Energy drinks will only be sold to adults. Emergency sweets food truck will be selling popsicles and other frozen treats. Cloud 9 Sweets & Treats food truck will be selling fresh lemonade, pretzels and waffles. 

Onsite apparel will be available for purchase from Faith Ridge Designs.
