    Timed Trials - heat sheet

    Hello Dolphins,

Our 2024 Timed Trials is upon us!

Please print out the attached heat sheet - there will not be any for sale the day of the meet. I've also attached the Individual Entries -- this lists the event-heat-lane that your swimmer is assigned to (mark them).

Download the SwimTopia app (see Home page of website).

    On the website, go to

    • "Team Info" for the Pool Layout (jpeg attached)
    • "Swim Meet" --> "Timed Trials" for meet info

To bring: There will be no concession stand for the Mock Meet. Please be sure to bring snacks / water for your family. Bring a bag chair / canopy / blanket. We try to keep the bleachers as come-and-go seating, so that you can watch your swimmer and move along, giving a chance to another parent to see their swimmer. You can bring camp chairs to set up in the hallways, making sure to keep a walking path available. Since we are limited with space, we encourage parents to bring canopies / blankets / chairs to set up outside (on the SE side of BBAC). We have a speaker system to help us call out which events should be at the ready benches. Timed Trials run much quicker than dual meets, so keep your ears open!

    Saturday, April 27, 2024:

    • 7:30am arrive
    • From heat sheet, “mark” your swimmer(s).
    • Set up canopies, chairs, etc. while kids are warming up
    • 7:45-8:15am warm-ups
    • 8:00am Timers Mtg: 1st & 2nd shift volunteers meet in the hallway near the locker rooms - brief explanation & Q&A
    • 8:15am Officials Mtg: 1st & 2nd shift volunteers meet on deck by computer table after Timer’s Mtg
    • 8:15am Computer & Runner/Awards: 1st & 2nd shift volunteers check-in with Amber @ computer table (left side of blocks)
    • 8:15am Ready bench: 1st & 2nd shift volunteers check in with Lauren @ ready bench (far end of pool, outside)
    • 8:30am Meet starts (when shift 1 volunteers are in place; National Anthem)
    • Event 41: shift 2 volunteering starts
    • (this will be a fast meet - done by 11am?)

Bring a marker. If you are new to competitive swimming, ask a returning swim family to show you how to “get marked.” Marking the kids arms (or legs, depending on how many events they swim in a meet) helps kids remember what they are swimming and also helps the ready bench volunteers place swimmers correctly. (R = race / event; H = heat; L = lane). An example:All officials will be in white shirts & blue shorts / pants, but we have lots of returning swim parents that can give advice as well!

On behalf of Coach Proko & Dolphins Swim Team Board of Directors,

    Amber Allen
